昆士蘭州首府布里斯本位於南回歸線以南不遠處亞熱帶，常年氣侯溫和，陽光充沛，為澳洲第三大城市，具有大都會的繁榮及優雅閒適的生活氣息。布城南下半個小時火車程是著名的黃金海岸(Gold Coast)，北上則有陽光海岸(Sunshine Coast)、大堡礁(Great Barrier Reef)、熱帶雨林。附近還有全球最大的樹熊(koala)保育區龍柏樹熊公園(Lone Pin)，雖逝但典範長存的鱷魚拍檔Steve Irwin的澳洲動物園(Australia Zoo)，夢幻世界(Dreamworld)，華納電影世界(Warner Brothers Movie World)和海洋世界(Sea World)。

布里斯本整個地區，包括所有郊區人口只有接近兩百萬人，近年來發展迅速，是澳洲人口增長最快的區域, 所有已發展國家中第二增長快速的地區(第一快增長是美國亞利桑納州)。這裡的生活節奏悠閑，人們極為友善、有耐心，昆士蘭人是我旅遊中生活中遇到最友善純真的人。我把自己在布里斯本周邊和昆士蘭州的旅遊心得總結在上面travel tips的部分，可供你設計行程參考。

雖然在澳洲不過寥寥數年，每次我旅行回來都感到無比親切，當飛機飛越蔚藍的大海，深淺有致的大堡礁在望，我的心不期然感到溫暖感動--我回家了。
