July 2006 布里斯本博客
July 12, 2006 A sporadic afternoon. I took the shot during the couple of minutes when the sun managed to break through the darkish clouds. My tutor said that I had captured the moment.

Another photo with the light coming from my right on a sunny early morning on a building newly finished in Milton. It is only too true to say that timing is the key.

July 10, 2006 I hadn't been  been to China Town during the day since moving to my present address though I did go with my friends to last year's  Chinese New Year Dinner  organized by the Brisbane Chinese Club. Very impressive. But  the name Chinese Club can be quite misleading , for actually most members are westerners, who are enthusiastic about China. I bumped into one, who spoke to me in fluent Mandarin.

July 4, 2006 I had tried the Moon many times with my compact, but to no avail: the moon looked blurry with its light diffused in all directions to make a wide circle . The other one was a casual shot taken in the early morning.  A stroke of luck? My tutor gave me a broad grin but made no reply! Still a mystery.
