December 4

I'd like recommend a few restaurants in the West End precinct. The first one to start is Ouzeri, a Greek restaurant on Boundary Street. As you may already know, West End is a Greek neighborhood with a flair of multi-culturalism. If you come here for Mediterranean food (Greek, Turkish, Italian), the chances are you won't be disappointed. In my personal experience, I regard Ouzeri to be the best among all the Greek outfits here.

We typically go for the feast at ~AUD 25 per person. It has more food than you can ever handle. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Another favorite restaurant of mine is Pine and Bamboo in Canon Hill which specializes in Peking duck. Not many people still serve ducks piece by piece in front of you these days, I particularly appreciate the owner being so detail-oriented as to remove the  extra fat under the skin while serving. The per person cost is around AUD ~25 if you order a whole duck.

December 1 Brisbane has quite a few interesting coastal towns that are worthy of a day trip. One of them is the Sandgate / Redcliffe area on the Moreton Bay. Unlike the Gold Coast, these towns are quieter, and more relaxed, while retaining the feel of an authentic fishing village. It is very easy to get to Sandgate via train, to get to Redcliffe, you need to take a half-hour-interval bus from the Sandgate train station.
