December 1, 2006 I went to Noosa again today. Noosa is a very popular holiday destination among Aussies particularly in winter as the southerners from Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney flee their chilly weather. It is situated right on the sea in the Sunshine Coast, which is called such for a reason - it is the area within Australia that receives the most sunshine, and it certainly lives up to its reputation.

對於香港人來說, Noosa的地位相當於淺水灣, 而澳洲歐洲很多富裕階層都在那裡有度假屋, 所以幾百萬甚至過千萬澳幣的豪宅比比皆是. 與香港不同的是, Noosa離開Brisbane一百多公里, 不可能每天在Brisbane上班, 而當地就業機會不多, 所以居民有很多都是在世界其他地區賺錢了後攜款到Noosa退休的, 銀髮族很多. Noosa跟黃金海岸最大的不同在與非常嚴厲的高度密度限制, 沒有高樓大廈, 對於大自然保護周到, 設施完備得來毫不張揚.

Noosa Sound is an upscale residential precinct situated right behind the holiday makers' heaven of Noosa Heads, many homes command a waterfront position or views overlooking the ocean and the surrounding areas, some even have their own private jetty.
