If you are a regular user of the printer, you must resent the unreasonably
expensive cartridges. With lots of painful effort, I found a way to bypass
it. Refilling the cartridge on your own could save you at least 4/5 of the
cost. Below is a link for your reference. Btw, based on my own experience,
there are two extra important points to take notice of:
1) The word ‘leaking’can be rather misleading . A cartridge needs to ‘leak’ to do its printing job. Therefore, by 'leaking’ it actually means ‘dripping’. If there is no dripping, it is safe to put the refilled cartridge back into your printer. 2) While refilling, you don’t need to keep squeezing the bottle. Instead, make sure that you have thrust the needle into the right hole and put the cartridge steadily down before you can leave it at that. (But remember to look back in 20 minutes in case the ink flows over. The whole refilling time for an inkjet colour cartridge (3 colours with 3 holes) should be around 1.5 hours. Detailed refilling steps & tips: (Note: For ink level resetting, use the
tapes included in the package)

| August 15, 2005 | Around seven years
ago, to my extreme dismay, I received my first Toshiba notebook from my
daughter and son-in-law as a birthday present. Ever since then, I have been
stuck with, and subsequently addicted to this little technological wonder of
our era.
Time has made tremendous changes over me. Just name a few. Among other things, my life-long dream to spend the rest of my life in this beautiful country would have been wishful thinking without the internet. I obtained all practical information on Australia living on the internet. My life would have become stale and isolated from the world rather than surging and dynamic, had I not been able to communicate with friends and family throughout the world. What intrigues me the most is digital photography - image transferring, manipulation, and seeing print slowly emerge from the printer right in front of my eyes. Again, without the computer, the real pleasure of photography would stay inaccessible to me. |
